Media bias. Yes, it’s real. And how Twitter controls the news today with guest Jon Gabriel, Editor in Chief of Ricochet.com.

Seems like journalists have been replaced with activists. Now we get to see the “news of the day” thru the lens of a 26 year-old making $35k. They decide what the top 2-3 news stories run on repeat, whether it’s really important news or not.
Social media was created so that people could decide what news they wanted to see.
National news is coming from less and less sources. Many just repeat each other’s talking points.
What is going on in the public sphere where there’s so much over-sharing?
JON: Social media has become a clearinghouse for negativity. You don’t need to share every detail about your life on Twitter!
JON: Trump is an amateur politician. No issue illustrates the divide between the working class and the political class than illegal immigration. The political class has their own walls.
AND…
Joe Rogan’s talked to Jack Dorsey on podcast… conservatives believe there are arbitrary rules on Twitter than can get you shutdown.
How is it that Louis Farrakhan can call Jews termites and still reside on Twitter, but a conservative who criticizes a liberal gets banned? Like Alex Jones. Like him or not, he has a right to express his views. We still have the 1st Amendment.
Censorship is the single biggest issue of our time. We have to stand up against it EVERY TIME. And if you have to, walk away from them. Change the channel. Whether you are 18 or 81, everyone should be concerned about our activist journalists, activist newsrooms, and activist social media controlling what we hear.
