Feb 17, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm PST
John Matze, Jr CEO of Parler, the free speech social media app, joins Joe to discuss the changing landscape of elections, social media companies/platforms/apps censoring free speech and pandering to PC, cancel-culture permeating our country’s culture and elections.
Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, et al…. staying on these platforms is just beating your head against a wall. You can’t make them change. You’re fighting on a battlefield where someone else can just move the pieces wherever they want and arbitrarily change the rules at any time. You’re just a pawn on their field and they can remove you.
Why do people cheer when social media silences the opposition? They should be cheering when they win the debate.
Can social media platforms throttle your access? Delete your followers? Your account? Yep. They can do whatever they want.
Google and Yahoo blacklisted the Parler email at the same, exact time during their CPAC rollout.
Parler uses FCC rules to prevent porn and that type of content.
Parler is working on an advertising model that doesn’t involve selling users’ private information.
Google, Facebook, and Twitter are functioning like monopolies and need to be addressed as such.
