How is firing under-performing federal employees a bad thing?

Trump announces big changes for Federal government employees, ending automatic pay hikes that kick in “irrespective of performance,” changing retirement benefits and making it easier to fire bad employees and reward good ones. So Trump wants to fire people who aren’t doing a good job or pulling their weight? Of course the union thinks this is a bad idea.

As a society, we’ve gotten so that we turn a blind eye on anything that’s happening unless we’re concerned about being sued!
