Caller, Paul from NC asks why more Congress people haven’t signed on to H.R.2192 to amend the Public Health Service Act to eliminate waivers for Members of Congress from participating in the ACA.
With guest Donato Panico who, on Sept. 12, 2001, loaded up a food truck and drove to Ground Zero after 9/11 to feed search and rescue workers. He cooked from the mobile catering truck for 10 days at the World Trade Center site. Nearly 15 years after, he continues to want to show his appreciation again for those first responders and those that have served our country. So he makes sandwiches and turkeys. Lots of them. The Heros 4 Our Heroes Foundation gives away more than 3,000 3-foot-heroes and more than 200 turkeys to firefighters, police and veterans on Long Island and New York City every year with the help of friends, partners, and his employees at Panico’s Community Market in Smithtown. Welcome Donato, and that’s for your service to those who serve and protect us.
Turkeys and smoked ham for all the guys at the VA for Christmas. It’s the 2nd largest VA in the country.
