If you’re “out of policy” as a COP, then you leave yourself open to being sued personally. An LA Police Officer was under active fire, returned fire, and was subsequently reprimanded. So… what was he supposed to do??? Take cover. Really? That’s not your job as law enforcement. Your job is to stop the threat.
