Can California be saved? Why bail out Tesla?

Why are we bailing out Tesla? California is completely in the hole, but we’re going to bail out a private company? How does that make sense?
The only way the eco freaks are willing to buy an eco-car is if YOU subsidize it. Americans are picking up $7500 PER CAR! The Feds are no longer subsidizing, so CA is picking it up. Why are we subsidizing a billionaire?

You could shut down CA and take it off the grid, and it wouldn’t make a difference to the Earth’s air quality. But we’re taxing the middle class into oblivion with the Cap and Trade extension. And without Republicans it wouldn’t have passed.
