Another college cans a mascot because it’s too offensive… George Washington University students feel that their current mascot, George the Colonial, who was recreated in the likeness of America’s first president and is a little “white supremacisty.” So our first president is a problem? One of the men who established this nation to be what it is today? Why is it offensive to acknowledge our history? If they don’t like George Washington (the Colonial) being their mascot, why did they choose to go to George Washington University?!? It’s just the word “colonial”. It makes people feel bad.

Syracuse Univ denies Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) club status on campus because they’re exclusionary and discriminatory to international students by requiring members to agree with the U.S. Constitution in order to become members. NEWSFLASH! You’re an American school, on U.S. soil, using American taxpayers’ money, protected by American police and American military, governed by the U.S. Constitution, and you’re worried about offending international students? WAKE UP! But you have no problem with other “discriminatory” and “exclusionary” groups on campus.
