Pastor David Hegg in to discuss the real meaning of Christmas.
We’ve lost the definition of sin as something that God doesn’t like. The death of Jesus Christ proves the gravity of just how bad sin is. But we’ve become a society of universal forgivers.
Is the Pope really talking about changing part of the Lord’s Prayer? Should we care? Those words have been translated several times. And there are 2 transcriptions of it in the Bible. Pastor Hegg said the Pope isn’t trying to change the original words in the Bible, he’s trying to clarify the translation of it.
You can’t just pick up the Bible (or any other text) and read it without considering the intent of the writer. You have to read it from within the culture in which it was written, not the culture of the reader.
Why do we allow Christmas to get us into financial bondage? If you don’t manage money, it will manage you.
The whole point of Christmas is about acknowledging the Lordship of Christ. When we glorify Him through our lives, we will be more satisfied in our lives.
