President Biden warned only vaccinated Americans can celebrate holidays with family and friends because of the Omicron variant.
He said the new variant is “deadly” for unvaccinated Americans and made a stark warning just days ahead of Christmas.
“I know some Americans are wondering if you can safely celebrate the holidays with your family and friends. The answer is yes, you can, if you and those who celebrate are vaccinated,” Biden said in prepared remarks. “Particularly if you’ve gotten your booster shot.”
Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton slammed Biden for his comments.
“Biden seeks to ruin Christmas for those who can’t or won’t get vaccinated,” Fitton said.
Biden notably changed his wording from “mandate” to “requirement” in remarks.
“I know vaccination requirements aren’t popular,” Biden said, “but my administration didn’t put them in place to control your life, they put them in place to save your life.”
