New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio (D-NY) says it’s time to throw the kiddie gloves off and force people to get the coronavirus vaccine.
During a CNN interview, De Blasio said that the only way forward for the country is for the unvaccinated to get on board. And, the mayor admits the health department has “real power” to create a “variety of rules.” It’s possible that power is used for a vaccine mandate.
De Blasio’s statement isn’t much of a surprise. After all, this isn’t his first hardcore stance on the vaccine. Just recently he made headlines for forcing city works to get the shot:
Ironically, the vaccinated folks have been making headlines with breakthrough coronavirus cases and even the possibility of spreading the virus more than their peers. Plus, the new Delta variant of the virus is reportedly more contagious.
With schools, businesses, and more cracking down on coronavirus regulations once again, it could only be a matter of time before state and local health departments try to weld their powers once again to shutter people in their homes…even if they’ve gotten the vaccine.
