Rep. Cori Bush, the Democrat from Missouri, doesn’t seem think think the United States of America is the most exceptional nation on Earth. Nor does she put much stock in us being the land of the free or the home of the brave.
On Independence Day, the black lawmaker posted a scathing rebuke of our great nation on Twitter.
“When they say that the 4th of July is about American freedom, remember this: the freedom they’re referring to is for white people,” the ungrateful Democrat wrote.
“This land is stolen land and Black people still aren’t free,” she added.
For the record, the congresswoman intentionally capitalized “Black,” while using lower case to refer to all of us “white” folks.
I reckon she put her white constituents in their lowercase place.
“If I as a white man slandered Juneteenth I would be called a racist,” one disgusted citizen wrote on Facebook. “We have a sitting Congresswoman slandering the founding of this country in which she has benefited greatly and We are supposed to call her a Patriot? Sorry not happening.”
