A National Police Association spokeswoman is raising concern about the lack of public information around the killing of Ashli Babbitt on Jan. 6 by a plainclothes officer.
Sgt. Betsy Smith told NTD’s “The Nation Speaks” there is a double standard at President Biden’s Justice Department in light of Babbitt and the trial of Derek Chauvin in the murder of George Floyd.
If 35-year-old Babbitt, a U.S. Air Force veteran, had been a liberal activist protesting abortion, the American public might know the name of the officer who shot her, and he might be facing criminal charges for killing an unarmed woman, Smith said.
“I think what we have to look at is the continued politicization of law enforcement in this country,” she said.
