Authoritarians do not take it very well when their mandates are not followed. They do everything they can to quash protests, stop rebellions, and make examples of dissenters. Such is the case in New Jersey where the owners of Atilis Gym are being fined $10,000 daily.
This is beyond outrageous, but it’s encouraging to see local political candidates stepping up. Rik Mehta, who is running for the United States Senate, added gym owners Ian Smith and Frank Trumbetti to his finance committee and says he is going to hold rallies at the gym daily. This is the type of civil disobedience we need, as JD discussed in his latest podcast.
