I’m Guilty!

Bowe Bergdahl Pleads Guilty to Desertion

Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl on Monday pleaded guilty to desertion and misbehavior before the enemy, according to multiple reports.

Bergdahl was facing desertion charges stemming from a 2009 incident in which he walked off his post in Afghanistan and was later captured by the Taliban.

In 2014, President Barack Obama negotiated his release in exchange for five members of the Taliban imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay, dubbed “The Taliban Five.”

“I left my observation post on my own,” Bergdahl said during questioning from a judge. “I understand leaving was against the law.”

While sentencing has yet to be issued, a judge said Bergdahl is facing a maximum punishment of life in prison.

Since Bergdahl’s return to the United States, he’s been called both a hero and a traitor. Former Sgt. Matt Vierkant, a member of Bergdahl’s platoon, told CNN, “I was pissed off then, and I am even more so now with everything going on.”

While others online appear less sympathetic, one commenter on the Facebook page “Bowe Bergdahl is NOT a hero” said, “I challenge any one of you who label him a traitor to spend 5 years in captivity with the Taliban or Haqqani, then come back and accuse him again. Whatever his intent when he walked away or was captured, he has more than paid for it.”

The Associated Press reported recently that Bergdahl was expected to plead guilty to the charges.

Joe Notes…  Why did this take so long? Did the Obama administration miss this? Did they try to cover it up? Did Mr Oblamo do this to help get those 5 animals out of Gitmo?

We knew this guy was guilty soon after we heard about him. Nothing in the story added up and no matter whats been said he is an accessory to murder. I say that because he left voluntarily and left no note so the troops were obligated to look for him and at least one life can be attributed to his desertion! Thats called an accessory! PERIOD!
