Jewish Law IS NOT the same as Sharia Law!

It was just another regular day using the social media tool Twitter. I replied to a tweet from a Fox News member expressing my concern for humanity that the Left has no problem destroying with their tool of radical Islam.

As I check my notifications, I was shocked to see one of the people who replied to my tweet… Linda Sarsour. The infamous “Palestinian” woman who led the first women’s March against President Trump, which is exactly what it was with prolife women being excluded and the hateful comments from these women towards our newly elected President. Her reply was appalling. She said:

“You don’t know what Sharia is. No one wants u to follow it. Muslims follow Sharia like Jews follow halakhah. It has nothing to do with you.”

My first reaction was one of shock that she actually replied. With her publically known hatred for President Trump and her anti-travel ban stance, I had previously challenged her to a debate on the ban and, like most liberals and Muslims with fame, I got no reply. Then I thought, what audacity she has to compare Sharia law to Halacha law! They are nothing alike. I do acknowledge there are decent Muslims who have respect for the State of Israel and its legitimacy, as well as the Constitution of the United States. But the Sharia law she follows is definitely a different story.

I say this for many reasons. Linda Sarsour supports the “Palestinian cause” against Israel. And we know that the “Palestinian cause” is actually radical Islam threatening to wipe Israel off the map. She is a proponent of the two state solution and has ties to members of Hamas. This kind of Sharia law demands infidels convert to Islam or be slaughtered, the infidel meaning the Jewish people and Christians.

Her Sharia law treats women as second class citizens and forces them into submission. It’s ironic that she was the leader of the women’s march. Not only that, she claims support for feminism and Zionism which are incompatible, far from the truth, and also proven wrong. (Thank you Mayim Bialik, Jewish actress who supports Israel as well as women’s rights.)

Right now, the majority of terrorism throughout the world is from Radical Islam, an ideology of global domination.  Just a reminder, Sarsour has ties with a militant Islamic terror organization who calls for days of rage against Israelis on a regular basis.

Halacha law, Jewish law, is the complete opposite of this radical Sharia law. I admit that I am far from an expert on the law, but I do know the basics. Even though it is required of every Jew, no matter the background, to follow Halacha law, it recognizes the gift from God, free will. The ability to chose to practice or not without fear or repercussions.

Jewish people do not force Halacha law on non Jews. And Jewish people abide by laws of the land which we do not try to change. The Jewish people do not go out of their way to convert people, especially by force or threat of death. Halacha law puts women on a very high spiritual plain, and even states that it is the women who are in charge of the family home. Israel, the home of Halacha law, supports security for its people.

As you can clearly see, Sarsour’s comparison of the two sets of religious laws was wrong. I still challenge her to a debate on this issue, the travel ban instituted by President Trump, and other issues. But in no way, shape, or form is Halacha law the same as Sharia law. On that, Ms. Sarsour, you are wrong!
