“Drain the swamp” is racist?

Like beauty, racism is in the eye of the beholder. And if the beholder happens to be Ryan Lenz, a spokesman for the “civil rights” watchdog, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), the phrase “drain the swamp” is somehow code for … well, I’m not all sure what he thinks it’s code for, but just suffice to say it’s racist.

Lenz made this claim yesterday on CNN. Here is a transcript of his comment. A video follows:

Drain the swamp was a meme, a Twitter hashtag that grew, exploded, really, after Donald Trump came forward with allegations it was a rigged election. It was spread specifically — or among the people that were spreading the #DrainTheSwamp hashtag were avowed racists, white supremacists who exist on Twitter to harass and demean various ethnic groups.
