For those of you who say there’s no War on Christians, now there’s this…
Our Faith Is Truly Under Fire. Since when has the name of God become a firing offense? Unfortunately, real-life seems to be imitating the movies these days. In Pennsylvania, Dwight Anderson, a college professor, was dismissed from his position after he shared his hopes with his former students in a letter that included a reference to God.
This isn’t an isolated instance. If that’s not a #WarOnChristians, I don’t know what is.
Folks, these are times when you can look away and HOPE it doesn’t happen to you, or you can keep your faith hidden from everyone to avoid offending ONE person, or you can TAKE A STAND FOR GOD!!!
When you see stories like this one, email the school. Oh, I know, you don’t want to be “one of those” people who just writes to complain. Well you can be certain that non-believers, those “separation of church and state” people are writing in and calling the school to pressure them to uphold this professor’s termination. They are filling blog comments, Facebook posts and Twitter feeds with their ungodly chatter. The court of public opinion is open and in full session. If Christians and religious freedom advocates want to maintain that freedom… it’s time to take a stand and make your voices heard. Repost stories like these to your social media feeds. And when you see them on other people’s accounts, be encouraging and stand firm for religious freedom.
It is not illegal to allow those around you to see what you believe… even at work… even in a public position… even in a government position. But it will become illegal by tradition and default if we let it by our silence. What will you do today to make a difference?
You’re either on God’s side or you’re against Him. There’s no straddling the fence with God. Pick a side and then prove it in your actions.
