The atheist group, Freedom From Religion Foundation has been fighting for years to have this World War II war memorial removed from federal forest land, contending that it somehow means our government has established a religion. How anyone can argue that a statue in the middle of the forest establishes a religion… in a country that honor the free exercise of religion (like displaying statues!), is beyond me!
It’s a war memorial, erected by a group of WWII veterans who wanted to honor those who did not make it back home with them. This week they lost the appeal. Jesus wins. For now.
Anyone wanna take bets on the FFRF’s next move? I’m guessing a competing monument nearby for free-thinkers… or Satan. Thoughts?
