A Wisconsin appellate court on Thursday ruled that the right to keep and bear arms extends to all individuals in the United States, including “unauthorized aliens.” The framers could have used the term “citizen” to bestow the right, as they had in other parts of the Constitution, but chose not to.
This one victory could be victories for other illegal immigrant rights. Who’s to say they can’t vote soon or be subject to search and seizure laws, same as citizens. The case could reach the Supreme Court and could affect the way illegals are treated in the future. Another potential milestone case…
