Sanctuary cities across the U.S. protect illegal immigrants from the consequences of breaking the law the moment they stepped foot on American soil. Obama and the Left seem to place more value on the lives of foreigners, without regard for U.S. laws, coming here than they do their own U.S. Citizens’.
It’s time to change that. Yes, we are a nation of immigrants. But there’s nothing wrong with an orderly process that checks out the backgrounds of individuals wishing to become part of our citizenry. Let’s weed out the criminal element before they cross over. Easier said than done, but must be done, nonetheless.
The big question is… do we have anyone in Congress with enough backbone to make this happen? Because the time to stop talking about it is NOW. It’s time for results.
Senator Tom Cotton has taken a bold, yet simple, first step toward curbing the problem of sanctuary cities. Take a look and see what you think. No federal funding for sanctuary cities. Period. Looks like common sense to me. If you like what he has to say, contact your local senators (you 2) and ask them to sign on in support of his legislation.
