INSPIRATIONAL: Homeless in middle school, teen mom in 9th grade, now valedictorian w/ $600k in scholarships

Teen mother who was once homeless and gave birth weeks before starting high school is named class valedictorian – and earns $610,000 in college scholarships.

– Trameka Pope, a senior at Wendell Phillips Academy High School in Chicago, gave birth to her daughter at the start of her freshman year

– The 19-year-old mom swore she wouldn’t become another statistic and pushed herself to excel

– She has been accepted to nearly 30 colleges and is slated to attend Western Illinois University

– Trameka will graduate with her classmates on Monday
