Clean energy gets 30-year license to kill Bald Eagles

I thought Liberals were all about saving the environment. But what happens when saving one part of the environment decimates another part of the environment?

Growing up, I remember the nationwide effort to protect the American Bald Eagle. They were on the endangered species list. Their numbers were dangerously low. Seeing a Bald Eagle’s nest was a rare treat and every hatch-ling was celebrated. That wasn’t so long ago.

Now, clean energy takes precedence over preserving certain species of animals. I guess they just didn’t rank high enough on the Liberal’s preservation list.

The Obama Administration is granting 30-year permits to clean energy companies giving them license to kill as many Bald Eagles (and other species) as they happen to kill.

What’s the big deal? It’s ILLEGAL to kill a Bald Eagle. And there are HUGE fines that go along with even accidental deaths.

There’s no tracking mechanism to ensure they don’t wipe out the population over the next 30 years. And as if that weren’t enough…

The American Bird Conservancy is suing the Dept of the Interior over this issue, so our tax dollars get to pay for defending what will most certainly be a billion dollar lawsuit.

AND… we (taxpayers) are subsidizing the clean energy industry who’s at the root of the lawsuit.

How about we apply the law evenly (I thought justice was blind?) and make everyone play by the same rules?

And while we’re at it, let’s try not to wipe out all of God’s creatures in the process!
