In an energizing speech from Miami’s Freedom Tower–the soaring symbol of Cuban immigration and integration–Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) formally announced his entrance into the 2016 presidential race.

As the enthusiastic crowd cheered, “Marco! Marco!” he drew a pointed contrast between himself and the much older 67-year-old Hillary Clinton. The 43-year-old Rubio said, “‘Yesterday is over. And we are never going back…Before us now is the opportunity to author the greatest chapter yet in the amazing story of America. We can’t do that by going back to the leaders and ideas of the past.'”
