Study Shows: Pot Use Negatively Affects Teen Brain Development

I’ve said it before… marijuana today is not the same as it was 30 years ago when we were teens. It’s more potent and more dangerous. Yet another study confirms just that, pot use damages teens. It also goes further and shows the impact it has on teenage brains which are still in growth and development until their early 20’s. The recent study of over 17,000 teens shows:

“brain-imaging studies of these regular marijuana users have shown significant changes in brain structure, especially among teens. Brain imaging shows abnormalities in the brain’s gray matter — which is associated with intelligence — have been found in 16- to 19-year-olds whose pot smoking increased in the previous year, she says.”

(Bold added for my emphasis.)
