
What was ‘lost’ is now found or so that is what we are lead to believe. It seems former IRS chief Lois Lerner’s 30,000 “irretrievable emails” have been found by the inspector general on a disaster recovery disk.
While it is not know at this point if the disk contains all of Lois Lerner’s ‘lost’ emails, it does cover the same 2009-2011 time period that she reported the emails ‘lost’ in a computer hard drive crash.
Assuming the disaster recovery disk is legitimate and barring any mysterious disappearances, perhaps now Darrell Issa (CA-R) and his Oversight Committee can finally get to the bottom of how and why the IRS unfairly targeted conservative groups who were applying for nonprofit status.
