Setting the Record Straight on Illegal Immigration

Unless you’ve been living in complete isolation inside your eco-friendly global warming survival shelter, you’ve no doubt heard about the deluge of illegal immigrants currently streaming unchecked across our southern border.

What you may not have heard is the truth about this influx of illegal immigrants because all you’ve heard are the purposefully emotive accounts of the thousands of waif-like illegal immigrant children.

Let’s set the record straight, shall we?

They’re just children

The semi-lucid House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) claims we should treat these children like “baby Jesus [who] was a refugee from violence.” The fact that baby Jesus was born in Bethlehem because his parents were following the orders of an oppressive government and not escaping violence, notwithstanding, do these really look like children to you?

Even if we allow for Obama’s Bizarro World standards where children are children up to age 26, since when do innocent children have gang tattoos and facial hair? In fact, contrary to Pelosi’s claims, this current influx of illegal immigrants is actually part of a larger wave of adult immigrants the Obama administration has been hiding while emotively portraying it as “a wave of children fleeing abuse and violence.”

The children are trekking here alone

How are these so-called children making the 45-day trek from Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador and on up through the southern border of Mexico all by their lonesome? The fact is they’re not. Human traffickers—nicknamed “coyotes”—are being paid to escort the immigrants to  The Death Train which corrupt Mexican authorities allow to operate with impunity—for a fee, of course.

Why would Mexico allow this to happen when we know it has some of the strictest immigration policies in the world? The answer is simple:  money. Even our own U.S. government had a hand in luring these immigrants to our border with “help wanted ads” for paid Unaccompanied Alien Minor escorts in January of this year.

No, these so-called children are not alone and money is driving this gravy train.

 Protecting the children’s privacy

So if this influx of illegals was planned for by our own government, why then, can’t the children be photographed at the detention facilities–even by high-ranking U.S. congressmen? What is the Obama administration hiding? My guess is, they’re hiding the adults, especially the ones with the facial gang tattoos. The optics would not be good since gang members—even if they’re 25 year old children—don’t quite fit the administration’s narrative of all the illegal immigrants being harmless children.

The children will come back for their court dates

No they won’t. Typically 46% of illegal immigrant juveniles do not show up for their court dates. This situation is far from typical though. For example, recently in Houston, Texas 90% of illegal immigrant children failed to show up for their immigration hearings.

“Don’t worry,” the open-border-pundits say. These poor children will make it back for their assigned court date. “Trust us,” they say. This isn’t orderly immigration that we’re talking about here. This is anarchy and anarchists aren’t known for obeying court orders now are they?

It’s the humane thing to do

How is it humane to lure these kids with the promise of amnesty, separate them from their families to be abused or murdered along the way, when even if they reach U.S. soil, chances are likely, they will eventually be returned to their home country? No, it is not humane at all.

In fact, forget about the illegals for a minute, how is this influx humane to our U.S. citizens? It’s not. It’s national suicide to allow our borders to be overrun by anyone at any time without swift and severe consequences. No nation can withstand the pressures brought on it by a huge influx of unskilled, uneducated, non-productive individuals. Illegal immigrants are coming here, not as the left would have us believe to escape violence and poverty or even as the delusional right says, out of an “act of love.”  No, these individuals are coming here to be a drain on our country. Illegal immigration is a threat to our national security. It’s inhumane and most definitely, not an act of love.

Currently, the cost for caring for these children is estimated to be around $252 per day and is expected to top $2 billion this year. That figure does not even include the staggering economic impact these illegal immigrants will have on our schools, police forces, hospitals, and other social services.

Feed and clothe them, but send them home. Sending them home is the only truly humane thing to do for all involved—including us American taxpayers and our children.

The border is secure

Seriously? Texas Governor Rick Perry doesn’t believe Harry Reid when he claims the border is secure and he isn’t waiting for Obama to secure the border either. Being on the frontline of the immigration fight, Perry knows firsthand that since 2008, over 203,000 illegal immigrants have been booked into Texas jails. Those jailed illegal immigrants were responsible for over 3,000 murders and 8,000 sexual assaults in Texas alone—and those are just the illegal immigrants who were caught.

The border is secure? No, it’s about as far from secure as it could possibly be.

But it’s for the children

Which children exactly? With all this concern about illegal immigrant children and their need to be fed, housed, clothed, and educated, who is concerned for the American children’s needs?

Tell me, what exactly is humane about taking resources away from our own American children? What is compassionate about destroying our children’s futures for the sake of South America’s children?

As Mark Levin said on his radio program, “There’s nothing compassionate about bankrupting our children and grandchildren, destroying our school system, destroying local law enforcement and hospitals; what’s been built up over 200 years. It’s one thing to export our viewpoints, our economic ideas, our governing ideas. But it’s quite another to import the views, the culture and the destitution of the third world.”

One thing is certain, every dollar spent on an illegal immigrant child is a dollar not being spent on an American child whose parents paid taxes in good faith to do just that.

Republicans are racist

This is so blatantly false as to be laughable, however what is happening on our border—and what’s being bussed throughout the country—is no laughing matter. It’s not about the race of the illegal immigrants. It’s about the rule of law and our national sovereignty. It isn’t about pandering to this voter group or that ethnic group. It’s about preserving what’s left of our republic–which any thinking person who is truthful and not playing politics or spewing the party line, knows to be true.

It isn’t about Democrats or Republicans, although the immigration issue has been made worse by politicking–especially by the political pandering of the current occupant of the Oval Office. Obama and his Democrats believe they can ignore the law, while the old party Republican leadership seems too cowardly to stop them. Both parties are to blame for this debacle, but race has absolutely nothing to do with it except as the left uses it as a weapon to close down discussion and bully those on the right. Republicans simply want to secure our country’s sovereignty, but are demonized as being racist. It’s not racist to support lawful immigration and the rule of law.

Republicans know this influx of illegal immigrants is destructive to our country. Not only are the illegal immigrants breaking our laws, but they’re coming here not to contribute, but to take, take, take. Republicans are fighting for what’s ours–for our heritage. Why is that not permissible?

Republicans are protesting against our government and tyranny not the so-called children as individuals or as a race. It’s about the rule of law that has made our country exceptional–the very same Rule of Law the illegal immigrants are disrespecting for their own gain and to our detriment. This influx isn’t about the free movement of migrants. It’s about lawlessness and tyranny.

We need workers

America has an unemployment rate of 6.2% and the lowest labor participation rate in decades, so the last thing we need is more low-skill workers flooding the already bleak job market. Obama is threatening to use his pen and his phone to give 5-6 million illegal immigrants a resident card and the ability to work in the U.S.—that’s against the law and against the best interest of our workers.

Our problem isn’t a shortage of workers; it’s Obama’s lawlessness and a shortage of jobs.

Republicans hate all immigrants

Republicans don’t hate all immigrants. We simply don’t support lawless and illegal immigration. We support our laws, our courts system, and our national sovereignty. We are not against all immigration. We are against this influx of unchecked illegal immigration that is causing the kind of chaos we know will lead to the destruction of our country’s and our children’s futures.

Democrats cannot continue to base immigration laws on the superficial whims of their ideology and feelings. Feelings are not rights. It’s irresponsible and futile to change our immigration laws to suit foreigners or in some misguided attempt to solve the problems of poverty or violence within foreign countries. Republicans want to enforce immigration laws based on what is in the best interest of our country, its rightful citizens, and in order to preserve our heritage and culture.

Americans are entitled to have generous system of lawful immigration that serves the interest of its legal citizens. No other country in the world allows this lawless immigration. Why should we?
