Are they celebrating Americanism, or just being arrogant?

I saw the commercial. I’m not sure when working hard, becoming successful, and being proud of living the American dream became so distasteful to… well… other Americans!
Are the Americans criticizing this ad jealous? Do they think they could never make it? Did they ever try?
Personally, I’m tired of making excuses for those who haven’t realized their own American dream. It isn’t my fault. I’m still working on my American dream, and personally, I’m happy to have the opportunity to work for it in a country where I’m free to choose what I want to do for a living. I may not always be happy with my outcome (because it isn’t always a success), but I’m happy to have the freedom to screw things up as badly as I do sometimes. Succeed or fail, at least I had a choice. How about you?
