Dope for everyone?

Aug 1, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 6:55 pm

Cary Quashen, Founder and Director, ACTION Family Counseling Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centers

Many states have decided to legalize recreational use of dope! Yes it was called dope for a reason.

Cary Quashen founder of Action Family Counseling Drug & Alcohol Treatment joins Joe to discuss the REAL effect this drug has on our children.

Marijuana has a 7 day 1/2 life in your body. Teens are already showing short term memory loss from smoking pot. They have a loss of motivation and everything is boring.

In the 60’s, pot used to have .3 mg THC, now it’s 20 mg! It’s not the same. And it IS addicting!

Every 19 minutes somebody dies from an accidental drug overdose. All drug abuse starts innocently, and now we’re letting our kids smoke marijuana because it’s legal.

The average parent spends to 2-12 minutes per day with kids age 12+. Because of social media, kids spend more time with each other than with their parents. THAT’s the problem!

20 years ago, if you asked kids what’s most important in life, they’d say “family.” Now they say “friends.” This is a PROBLEM.

It only takes one hit of crystal meth or heroine to create an addiction. And then we’re forever chasing that first high. Our mind needs more than our bodies can handle. That’s how people end up with an overdose.
